Normalizing Compassion

On this page, you can see our work. It grows from soil and soul alike: tending gardens, feeding animals, checking in on neighbors, and helping elders stay strong in body and spirit. Not for profit, but through the kind of love that moves quietly through a shared meal, a walk in the sun, or a hand steadying another.

We believe compassion isn’t rare or radical. It’s natural like the seasons, like breath. When we give it space to grow, community blooms.

Regenerative Farms and Gardens

We are healing the earth through our work with our regenerative farm, Grow Wiser Grassroots Farmers, as well as our permaculture educator Living Systems Institutes gardener program Reinhabit.

In collaboration with our Caring Heart Initiative, we are aiming to promote regenerative living through ecovillage creation.

Meditation and the Yoga Lifestyle

Meditation is the science of attuning to the peace, joy, and love that is the foundation of all existence. Yoga is union with the divine, which is a tapestry of Love. Experiment for yourself, and find out! We are active members with the Self-Realization Fellowship and the Temple of Peace, all of who’s events are listed in our Events Calendar.

Our Projects and Initiatives

Our community members have many projects we support and promote!

Microgreens

We’re growing vibrant, nutrient-packed microgreens right here — perfect for salads, sandwiches, smoothies, or a healthy garnish. These tiny greens deliver up to 40× more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants than mature plants, and add a fresh burst of flavor to any meal. Support local, eat fresh, and nourish your body with every bite!

Mushrooms

We’re cultivating a variety of gourmet mushrooms, grown locally and harvested fresh. These nutrient-rich fungi bring amazing flavor, protein, and immune-boosting benefits to your kitchen — perfect for soups, stir-fries, pastas, or as a hearty main dish. Beyond the plate, mushrooms have long been honored for their deeper wellness and transformational qualities, reminding us of their unique role in both nourishment and connection.

Bug-Out Survival Camping

Aug 21-24, 2026

Participate in hands-on land care practices promoting ecological health and spiritual harmony while camping on the land. This will be made colorful with amazing food, music, and survival games! This experience is done in unison with the beginnings of our food forest, permaculture garden, and intentional community and retreat center which is still in its early stages.

Caring Heart Network

Our intention is to build a living network of people, places, and protocols dedicated to caring for elders and supporting those in transition or recovery. By establishing a community land trust, we can create a legacy gift to our nonprofit — land held in stewardship, not speculation. Kriya House is a nonprofit corporation, and with this foundation we aim to become a launching point for affordable homes, regenerative land care, and mutual aid, ensuring that compassion and resilience are woven into the fabric of our community for generations to come.

We love to nurture connections.
