Be proactive, not reactive

Too many of us are leaving our futures to chance. Statistically, more than 75% of Americans have no estate documents or have documents that are outdated. I believe this is not just a financial issue. It is a spiritual, social, and environmental one. We deserve to feel secure, and our families deserve to be cared for without the confusion that comes from a lack of planning.

If you’d like us to help you, we can set up a trust in 1-2 hours for $1999, or a will for $799 if you don’t own a home and want to establish guardianship and let your wishes be known in a valid and official way. It would be reviewed by an attorney, without the cost of an attorney.

It’s because of procrastination and perceived complexity that 75% of Americans have an outdated/nonexistent Will. Don’t fall prey to those tendencies. Be proactive in completing all the steps.

how i got here

While working with various regenerative gardening clients, one gardening friend and client needed estate and health care planning. I already knew a lot about wills and trusts because I’d set up my own Will to establish guardianship of my child when I started doing high risk activities like skiing and flying small airplanes. (I’ve come to my senses and retired from those activities now!) Serendipitously, I discovered that my other gardening clients, Patrio and Ophelia McKenzie, specialized in doing estate planning and financial advising in various forms. I set them up and she got the information and resources she didn’t even know she was eligible for. Solving these “invisible” problems is why I want do this work.

My gardening client became my wealth management mentor. He wants to grow his firm, and I want to keep learning and providing this service. I’ve learned a lot since I started on this road in March of 2026, and since the field is vast, I’ll be perpetually learning to coordinate resources tailored to everyone’s individual circumstances.

My values center about offering things of real value. Growing up, my father was an economist and taught me principles of finance, but I was to creative, artistic, and service-oriented, and anti-establishment to follow in his footsteps. Exploring psychology for self-help purposes, and philosophy for spiritual purposes, and then music, film, and photography for my creative tendencies, I ended first working in early childhood development as a Montessori guide (which worked great with putting my son through a Montessori education from 2-16). As I transitioned out of being a Montessori Guide, I was honored to be compensated to be a professional friend for an elderly friend, Gita, with dementia. I coupled that work with volunteering on a regenerative farm (GrowWiser – Grassroots Farm in Lakewood, CO.) Through sharing the work that excited me at Grassroots Farm on social media, a Montessori community member introduced me to their Living Systems Institute, where they are actively training gardeners and finding homeowners as clients. I was their first dedicated and consistent gardener. and I had 3-6 regular homeowners who appreciated my assistance in their organic, biodiverse, regenerative, permaculture home gardens.

In the last two years my beloved partner, Ryan and I have been tending our friend and landowners little plot of land, hosting small events centered around spiritual wisdom, which has expanded our community in unimaginable ways. We follow the wholesome ideas that excite us, and here we are today! Growing in community, in positivity, in wisdom, while working our jobs, making music, laughing, reading, writing, and growing in so many ways. We are so thankful to the community of Seekers in Colorado, and the community of Kriya Yogi’s and our teachers who guide us, because we’ve grown in peace, joy, and compassion in the last 5 years. So much can happen in just one year… in just one week! Let’s never take this breath for granted, and not waste time on useless, harmful, wasteful activities!

Let’s Tend to Your Future

I am applying the same principles of love, care, sustainability, and intentionality to wealth management. The synchronicity of this field of finances, investments, insurance, and estate planning coming to me through my regenerative gardening work is undeniable. To me, wealth is our health, our access to home-grown food, the spiritual teachers in our lives, and the strength of our connections to community that cares about us.

We can help with various things beyond just getting your estate documents in order. With Proper Money Management, you can explore financial strategies that provide security for income during retirement, because you know social securities not going to take care of us for much longer! You can explore how to fund long-term care if/when you need it so your assets don’t have to be spent down to qualify for Medicaid which covers it (but usually not nicely).
